Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. She first began her career as an actress during the 80s. Her fame was boosted by Tezaab, a film starring veteran actor Anil Kooor. The next film she appeared in was Dil where she starred alongside Aamir. She was born into a Mumbai middle-class family and started dancing when she was a child. As a teenager, she began acting and was a victim for a few years because most of her first films were failures. She eventually became one of the top actresses from Indian film. She decided to take a break from her career following her marriage before returning to the industry of entertainment. Recently, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was nominated fifteen times in the Filmfare Awards. She won eight of these. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is India's fourth highest civil honor. Her fame is based on her charitable work as well.
