Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. Her early years were shaped by classical music, boleros and the traditional romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any dramatic performance. When she was 16 years old, she started singing and studying music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive training in singing. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After relocating into the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in the southern part of California. The singer currently sings traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. She is passionate about performing, music, as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and teacher. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her passion and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others as she hopes to inspire a passion particularly among the younger generation in order to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
